Break Through the "Sheet Music Wall"

At Tritone Music School, we believe the biggest hurdle in music education is the moment a student stops playing because they don't have a book in front of them. We don't just teach you to decode symbols; we teach you the heart of the music.

🧠

Play from Memory

Our students don't just memorize songs; they understand the patterns behind them. This allows them to play hundreds of songs entirely from memory, anywhere they go.

Freedom to Create

By understanding chords and structure early on, students gain the confidence to improvise and compose their own original music rather than just copying.

👂

Ear-First Learning

We bridge the gap between "hearing" a song and "playing" it, making the piano a natural extension of your child's own unique voice.

Tritone Piano Method Book

The Tritone Piano Method

Authored by founder Chieko Garling, our proprietary method forces students to think about how compositions are made by studying form, intervals, melody, and harmony progressions.

1

The Lead Sheet Map

We start by analyzing the composition map and Roman numeral harmony progressions to develop strong ears in multiple keys.

2

Music Math Drills

Students practice melodies and harmonies separately, then transpose them into different keys with ease, building deep understanding.

3

Long-Term Retention

By avoiding the "shortcut" of just reading traditional sheet music note-for-note, our students remember their repertoire for years to come.
