Our Mandate

The Postsecondary Education Quality Assessment Board (PEQAB) is an Ontario agency that makes recommendations to the Minister of Colleges and Universities on applications for ministerial consent under the Post-secondary Education Choice and Excellence Act, 2000.

We ensure that degree programs granted in Ontario meet the highest standards of quality, grounded in research, evidence, and best practices. Our goal is to protect student interests and ensure the integrity of Ontario’s postsecondary education system.
