We are building a 1-acre permaculture orchard dedicated to growing nutrient-dense, naturally grown food for those who need it most.
Learn Our StoryThe Liaden (pronounced Lee-dan) Forest Foundation began as a dream in 2009. Having experienced life in cars and tents ourselves, we know exactly how vital healthy food is—and how unreachable it can feel when you're struggling.
As certified "permaculturalists" since 2018, we are applying regenerative principles to create a sanctuary of abundance that serves the community. This isn't just a garden; it's a foundation for healing through nutrition.
Rooted in permaculture, our site design balances production with nature.
A diverse 1-acre orchard featuring fruit and nut trees, designed as a self-sustaining food forest.
Our 75' x 15' garden area produces seasonal, nutrient-dense vegetables using organic methods.
We are currently establishing our headquarters to host workshops and educate future permaculture growers.
From honeybees for pollination to chickens and worms for soil health, our animals are vital partners in our mission.
