My Dad is Amazing.
I didn’t realize how amazing he was until I found out we might lose him. It sounds cliché, but when you're a teenager, you take your parents for granted. You expect them to always be there, nagging you to clean your room or study harder.
My dad, Walter White, is a chemistry teacher. He's annoyingly smart—knows exactly why ice expands or why mercury is liquid at room temperature. He loves to cook breakfast because he says "chemical reactions happen all the time in cooking."
He loves my mom, my newborn sister Holly, and me more than anything. He's fighting this cancer not for himself, but to stay with us. To see me graduate. To see Holly grow up.
